PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary damper capable of minimizing a clearance made between a rotation axis and a bulkhead part, generating large internal pressure by increasing strength against internal pressure of a bearing part and capable of displaying large braking force even in the case of using viscous liquid of low viscosity. SOLUTION: A rotary damper 1 is constituted by providing a rotation axis 3 arranged along a shaft center of a main body case 2, a bulkhead part 53 provided to partition a space formed between the rotation axis 3 and the main body case 2 along the shaft center direction and a vane member 4 provided so as to rotate in accordance with rotation of the rotation axis 3 in a liquid chamber to be filled with liquid which is partitioned by the bulkhead part 53. Bearing parts 51, 52 supporting the rotation axis 3 free to rotate and arranged near each of end parts 21, 22 of the main body case 2 and the bulkhead part 53 are integrally formed.
