PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To standardize and integrate administrative map information which is digitized and made open to the public, including maps generated by other institutions and to browse it as an administrative map via the Internet. SOLUTION: Administrative maps which are digitized and made open to the public among administrative maps 1 such as urban planning maps, sewerage maps, road maps, and aeronautical maps under control which are generated, managed, and used by respective departments of a local governmental organization are standardized and integrated, including maps 2 generated by other by organization and converted to the GIS(Geographic Information System) format used via the Internet 3, the administrative maps 5 which having been converted by a GIS device 4 are enabled to be retrieved and printed, and map information data 7 and operation software are saved on a WWW(World Wide Web) server 6 of the Internet 3 for browsing the maps via the Internet 3, thus constituting the administrative map information system 14.
