PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent retention and generation of static electricity at a site having a high possibility of leakage by annularly connecting a compressor, a condenser, a throttling device and an evaporator through pipes and arranging grounded electrically conductive materials around the pipes. SOLUTION: An outdoor unit 10 comprises a compressor 15 and a throttling device 16 other than a heat exchanger 11, which circulates a refrigerant through pipes 12. In addition, electrically conductive materials 17 and 18 are arranged to cover the pipes 12 positioned at the edges 13 and 14 of the heat exchanger 11, the compressor 15 and a part of the throttling device 16, and are grounded by connecting an earth cable 19 thereto. In this way, the compressor 15, the condenser, the throttling device 16 and the evaporator and annularly connected together through the pipes to constitute a refrigerant cycle. By this constitution, retention of static electricity at sites having a high possibility of refrigerant leakage can surely be prevented.
