PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically discriminate a situation, in which a normal operation is not returned without performing data setting on a system to decide return and failure by making a pulse-generating means reset setting data via a transmitting means according to monitored results of an output clock. SOLUTION: A setting data generating part 304 generates data for setting, such as C-LOAD, C-DATA and C-CLK. When these setting data are set in a drive pulse generating part 305, the part 305 outputs an output clocks in order of drive block corresponding to a set address. A clock for a CCD drive is sent to a CCD image sensor 307 via a CCD driver IC 306. A pulse-detecting part 310 is a monitor circuit for each clock outputted from the part 305. Then, the part 310 monitors the output clock of the part 305 and instructs the part 305 to reset setting data according to the results.
