摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a SAW(surface acoustic wave) device and frequency- adjusting method, capable of properly adjusting the frequency of a fetching signal, even when the frequency shows variations after sealing. SOLUTION: The frequency adjusting method of a SAW device 10 connects a cap 30, made of light-transmissive material, to the interdigital transducer forming surface side of a piezoelectric substrate by applying an adhesive member 40, so as to seal the device 10 to have a prescribed internal space S with respect to a surface acoustic wave element, obtained by forming the interdigital transducer 23 and a leading electrode 22 connected electrically to this interdigital transducer on the piezoelectric substrate 21. After sealing, laser light is irradiated to a metallic coat 33 provided in the internal space via the cap, to cause a material evaporated by heating to stick to the interdigital transducer.
