PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print document data on a host device by a printer without requiring any printer driver by interrupting printing when print interruption information is received from the host device while the printing is carried out according to data to be printed. SOLUTION: The host device 2 once receiving command data regarding a data request reads out data of a print object according to the specification of parameter data and sends command data regarding data transmission to the printer 1. The host device 2 sends command data regarding page process interruption to the printer 1 in response to a user's indication or error occurrence. The printer 1 when performing a printing process interrupts the process. The printer 1 outputs command data regarding object release to the host device 2 as to all print objects. The printer 1 sends command data regarding the end of the page process to the host device 2.
