PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material high in sensitivity. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material has at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, and this silver halide emulsion contains silver halide grains having a spectral absorption maximum wavelength of <500 nm and a light absorptivity of >=60 or a spectral absorption maximum wavelength of >=500 nm and a light absorptivity of >=100, and at least one of sensitizing dyes to be used for spectrally sensitizing the silver halide grains has no charge in the molecule or has an intermolecular salt and the molecule has no charge as a whole and has one or more aromatic rings in the molecule and the silver halide photographic sensitive material is spectrally sensitized with these sensitizing dyes.
