PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope light source device by which the position of a light source image is easily and accurately adjusted and light from a light source is effectively used. SOLUTION: This device possesses a light source part 32 to supply the light, a condensing lens system 33 arranged on a side irradiated with light so as to condense the light from the light source part, a condensing mirror part 36 arranged on the side opposed to the condensing lens system through the light source part so as to condense the light from the light source part, a first adjusting part 35 to move a first optical member which is either one of the optical member s of the light source part, the condensing lens system and the condensing mirror part along a first guide part G1 in a direction along the optical axis of the condensing lens system, a second adjusting part 37 to move a second optical member that is either of remaining two optical members independently of the first adjusting part along a second guide G2 in an optical axis direction and third adjusting parts 58 and 59 to move a last third optical member along a third guide in two directions within a surface perpendicular to the optical axis.
