The safety system consists of primary (14) and secondary (12) seat belts, fitted to a pair of seats (10). Each belt consists of a central belt (50, 48), with one end linked by a fixed point (34, 32) to the chassis and with the other end linked to the body of half of the seat belt catch (38, 36), which, in turn, is fitted into the seat belt anchorage catch (42, 40), linked by a anchorage piece (46, 44) to the chassis. The fixed point (34) of the primary belt and the anchorage point (44) of the secondary belt are linked together and to a central, automatic tension device (56).
