<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a data entry device, which enables an operator who operates on a client machine to efficiently input data. SOLUTION: The data entry device is operated in the style of a client/server system. On the server, a catalog which is common to each of the operators of clients are registered, and when an operator corrects the catalog for the individual, the corrected catalog can be registered as a catalog ('my catalog') which is characteristic of the operator on the server. When 'my catalog' is present on the server (step S3), the operator calls this catalog to the client machine and can enter data (step S5). This constitution enables the operator to have a catalog of favorite key shift settings as 'my catalog', and the productivity of data entry is improved.</p> |
