<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy absorbing brake especially suitable to prevent a non-symmetrical failing state during movement of a wing surface having a flap, etc., of an aircraft. SOLUTION: A mechanism 24 including a movable member 25 (ball cam, etc.), having a limited moving range to generate braking torque on a shaft 22 in accordance with normal force by working normal force between friction plate surfaces of a disc brake and a spring element 53 on which a pre-load is applied so that the spring element can be deflected larger than the limited moving range so as to restrict normal force working between the surfaces are arranged free to move, and consequently, size of the braking torque to be transmitted between the shaft 22 and a housing 51 is restricted.</p> |
