PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data processor capable of improving data conversion processing efficiency without expanding a circuit scale. SOLUTION: An RS conversion circuit 110 has only one X×Y-bit memory 111 and also has two prescribed modes as a method for allocating the address of the memory 111 when reading and writing image data respectively. A mode controlling part 112 switches a write mode into another write mode whenever the write processing of X-bit image data is performed Y times and also switches a read mode into another read mode whenever the read processing of image data in a Y-bit slice format is performed X times. Write processing can be performed simultaneously and parallelly with performing read processing by performing the write processing while alternately switching the two write modes and also performing the read processing while alternately switching the two read modes.
