PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device capable of reducing occurrence of temporary interruptions of data reproduction processing caused by increase in an error correction processing time. SOLUTION: This optical disk reproducing device is provided with a read-out means 10 for reading out a prescribed data from an optical disk with the prescribed data recorded thereon to which an error detection code is partially added and an overall error code is doubly added, an error correction means 11 for correcting the error contained in this read prescribed data as necessary based on the double error correction codes added to the prescribed data read by the read-out means, and a parallel processing means 12 which DMA-transfers the prescribed data corrected in error by the error correction means and which detects the error contained in this prescribed data based on the error detection code added to this prescribed data during the DMA transmission.
