PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal thin film dryer capable of always cooling a bearing acting as an essential part of a lower bearing unit when operated to dry a sludge, and being easily maintained with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A hollow spindle lower end support 15, oil reservoir 16 and cooling water reservoir 17 are associated with a lower bearing unit 13, and a water-cooling oil circulating route for allowing an oil to flow as shown by an arrow to cool a bearing 14 in the lower bearing unit 13 is formed. In the route, the oil in the reservoir 16 cold insulated by the water of the reservoir 17 is supplied to the bearing 14 in the lower bearing unit 13 through an internal space and a plurality of through holes 18 of the support 15 by a rotating of a spindle 3, a self-circulation of the oil after cooling at the bearing 14 in the lower bearing unit 13 is returned to the reservoir 16 is repeated. Accordingly, the bearing 14 in the lower bearing unit 13 is always cooled by the oil self- circulated when operated to dry the sludge.
