PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce stress on a player by comapring the playing of the player with the automatic playing by an automatic playing means and automatically stopping the automatic playing by the means after prescribed time is passed from the time at which both playing do not agree with each other. SOLUTION: A CPU10 compares and monitors automatic playing, which is conducted by reading playing information from a playing information memory 18, with the playing conducted by a player using a keyboard device 20. When the automatic playing is conducted by reading the playing information from the memory 18 and the playing by the player using the device 20 is not conducted, discrimination is made by the CPU10 to determine whether a condition, in which the automatic playing and the playing by the player using the device 20 do not agree with each other, is lasted for more than a prescribed time or not. If the condition is lasted more than the prescribed time, the automatic playing by reading the playing information from the memory 18 is automatically stopped.
