PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make formable a part having good wettability and a part having poor wettability in a single layer by forming a wettability variable layer to form pixels or pixels and light-shielding part. SOLUTION: The color filter 1 has a light-shielding part 3 formed on a transparent substrate 2, a wettability-variable layer 5 formed on the light-shielding part 3 and in the pixel forming part 4 of the transparent substrate 2, and a pixel part 6 formed in the pixel forming part 4 in the wettability variable layer 5. The wettability variable layer 5 is not especially specified as far as the wettability of the surface can be varied by external stimulation. The wettability variable layer 5 is a layer containing photocatalyst which changes the wettability to decrease the contact angle with a liquid by irradiation of energy. By irradiating the layer according to an energy pattern, the wettability can be easily changed to form a region having affinity with an ink and having a small contact angle with a liquid, and for example, only the part where pixels are to be formed can be easily formed as the region having affinity with ink. |
