<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform navigation and control of a print system so that a document received from an input unit is created by displaying operator information of a desirable icon on a display screen when the icon is selected. SOLUTION: In a printer state window 70 having a printer icon 72, the printer icon 72 includes feeder icons A to D, a print engine icon E and finisher icons F to J. Further, the printer state window 70 includes a job progress meter 74 which notifies the total time needed to finish a print job, the elapsed time from the start of the print job, and the remaining time continuously to an operator. Print engine information is displayed by highlighting and clicking the print engine icon E in the printer state window 70 or by clicking a print engine icon or button in a pass access window 76.</p> |
