PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance comfortableness by blowing out warm air during defrosting operation and stably keeping room temperature. SOLUTION: The present air conditioner includes a suction inlet 6 on a front upper portion of a body and on an upper portion of the body, a blow-off outlet 7 on a front surface lower portion, an indoor air conditioner 5 disposed at a position corresponding to the suction inlet 6, an air fan 10 provided inside the indoor air conditioner 5, and a plurality of refrigerant flow passages of the indoor heat exchanger 5. Herein, a cold air flow passage of the indoor heat exchanger 5 is divided into an upper portion 9b and lower portions, an opening/closing valve 12 is provided on the refrigerant flow passage of the upper portion 9b that provides an inlet upon cooling operation. Further, it includes a heater 14 on an air passage 8 of an air fan 10, an opening/closing mechanism 15 for permitting or prohibiting air inflow provided at the suction hole 6 on an upper front and on a front surface upper portion, and the opening/ closing valve 12 is closed upon defrosting operation, and the heater 14 is turned on, and in contrast the opening/closing mechanism 15 is closed. |
