PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the transmission of a key code due to unexpected key operation and to stop power supply to respective circuit parts when the wireless keyboard is not used. SOLUTION: The wireless keyboard is provided with an infrared I/O unit 2 for executing infrared communication with an electronic equipment body, an infrared carrier for connecting the I/O unit 2 with an infrared filter 3 formed on the outer surface of a keyboard body and a carrier opening/closing part 4 for opening/closing the carrier. The opening/closing part 4 executes opening/ closing operation so as to open the carrier when the bottom face of the keyboard body in its normal using state is mounted on a mounting board and close the carrier when a face other than the bottom face of the keyboard in the normal using state is mounted on the mounting board.
