PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material high in sensitivity and image quality. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material has a silver halide photographic emulsion containing silver halide grains having a spectral absorption maximum wavelength of <500 nm and light absorptivity of >=60 or a spectral absorption maximum wavelength of >=500 nm and a light absorptivity of >=100. When an optical density in the spectral absorption maximum wavelength is designated as G0 before photographic processing of the photosensitive material and that after the photographic processing as G1, A=G1/G0, A is <=0.9.
