PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectrum measuring instrument the user of which can make spectrum measurement without requiring skillfulness. SOLUTION: A simple spectrum measuring instrument is composed of a transceiver 1 which receives electromagnetic waves, an A/D converter 2 which converts the levels of the electromagnetic waves into power values, and a memory 3 which stores the power values. The instrument is also composed of an arithmetic and control section 4 which sets measurement conditions including the number of performing times of measurement which is considered to be the operations from the reception of an electromagnetic wave to the storage of a power value and the receiving frequency of the transceiver 1 and calculates the integrated value of power values, a keyboard 5 equipped with a portion for inputting the measurement conductions and a measurement start instructing portion, and a display 6 which displays the integrated value. The arithmetic and control section 4 sets the number of measurement and receiving frequency based on the measurement conditions, starts measurement at the timing instructed from the measurement start instructing portion, and stores an obtained power value in the memory 3. Then the section 4 finds the integrated value of the power values of all measurement and causes the display 6 to display the integrated value.
