PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve throughput in the case of a low image ratio by varying the speed ratio between an image carrier body and a developer image carrier body in accordance with the image ratio that becomes a base of an electrostatic latent image. SOLUTION: In a developing region 13, toner 11 is added to the electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive drum 1 to develop the image. While a latent image is formed on the drum 1, image input signals D are inputted into an image ratio computing device 22 and image ratio within a page or continuous pages are computed. Information from the device 22 is led to a photosensitive drum controller 41 to control the revolving speed of a photosensitive drum driver 42 that drives the drum 1. A developing sleeve 20 is driven by a developing sleeve driver 32. Note that during the drive, the information from the device 22 is led to a developing sleeve driving controller 31 to control the revolving speed of the driver 32 in accordance with the image ratio. |
