A number of upper (2) and lower (3) material storage trays are arranged on one or both sides of a shaft for a hoist basket (1) to collect, transport and deposit the trays on a material picking point. The hoist basket has gearwheels (4, 5) that connect with a gear rack in the hoist shaft. The operator may choose which tray is to be collected and the hoist bracket can collect and deliver a first tray, and can immediately be displaced to collect a second tray.
