<p>An adhesive for establishing a contact between a device and a mammal is disclosed. The adhesive comprises a hydrogel and a plasticizer having the general formula: R?1-(-O-R2-)¿n-O-R3, wherein R1 is H or a straight or a branched alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, R2 is, independently, a straight or a branched alkylene group having 2-6 carbon atoms, R¿3? is a straight or a branched alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, and n is an integer from 2 to 100. The adhesive has in preferred embodiments a longer shelf life compared to traditional adhesives.</p> |
