The invention concerns poly(silyleneethynylene phenyleneethynylene) heat stable polymers with specific molecular mass bearing at their chain end groups derived from a chain limiting agent. The invention also concerns methods for preparing said polymers, hardened products obtained by heat treatment of said polymers, and matrices for composites comprising said polymers.
