发明名称 METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INSPECTING DEFECTIVE GLASS BOTTLE HAVING THIN THICKNESS
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a defective bottle having thin thickness accurately by comparing the central position of a measured baffle with the central position of a type identification code and making a decision whether a bottle is acceptable or not, based on the distance thereof. SOLUTION: A camera directing toward an article to be inspected, i.e., a glass bottle, is disposed at an upper part oppositely to an illuminator. When inspected, image on the bottom of the bottle is picked up by means of a camera through light emitted from the illuminator, a baffle mark is recognized by an image processing means and three or more arbitrary points on the mark are extracted by an extracting means. Diameter of the baffle mark is measured from at least three points on the baffle extracted by a baffle diameter measuring means. Subsequently, diameter of the baffle is compared with a predetermined value by a comparing means and final decision is made by a decision means. If the bottle deviates from a specified range, it is discharged as a rejectable product by a discharging means. When that data is fed to a forming division, it is beneficial as information for partial modification of forming.
