PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Stirling refrigerating machine for air conditioning and a method for assembling thereof having high efficiency of refrigerating capability, easy assembling work, and easy adjustment of spaces among respective parts with a thermal insulation state being as complete as possible among a high-temperature side heat exchanger, a regenerative heat exchanger and a low-temperature side heat exchanger. SOLUTION: A high-temperature side heat exchanger 3, a regenerative heat exchanger 5 and a low-temperature side heat exchanger 4 are united to be a heat exchanger assembly. An assembled heat exchanger 46 is incorporated into a compression expansion machine 2 and manifolds 6, 7. In pursuance of a viewpoint of measure adjustment inside the heat exchanger assembly 46, the heat exchanger assembly 46 comprises the high-temperature side heat exchanger 3, the low-temperature side heat exchanger 4 and the regenerative heat exchanger 5, wherein the heat exchanger assembly 46 is able to be connected with the compression expansion machine 2 via the high-temperature side manifold 6 and the low-temperature side manifold 7 by equalizing length of the heat exchanger assembly 46 to whole length of the compression expansion machine 2.
