<p>An air conditioner for vehicle capable of reducing a load on an electric motor applied by a compressor so as to save an energy of the electric motor while a cooling capability is maintained at some level, wherein, when electric motor drive judgment means judges that an engine for traveling stops and the compressor is operated by the electric motor, and the electric motor is driven by the electric motor drive means, a power consumption of the compressor is reduced by an electric motor load reduction means so as to reduce a load on the electric motor, specifically, the electric motor load reduction means fixes an air mixing door to a full cool position, the electric motor load reduction means fixes an inlet air mode to an inside air circulating mode to open only an inside air inlet port, and the electric motor load reduction means increases the freezing prevention temperature of an evaporator by a specified value to increase the stop frequency of the compressor.</p> |
