The unit (1) consists of two sections (10,10') which are the mirror-image of each other, where one works with one wheel (30) while the other works with the other wheel (30') of the wheel set (3). Each section encompasses a rail section (12) which is flush with a front and a rear runner profile (20,20') andwhich can be adjusted in angle to the horizontal between an inlet position and a throw out position. A brake element (132) is provided for each rail section which can be brought into contact with its associated wheel due to the inertial force of the wheel set.
