A side brush apparatus for washing tall vehicles including a longitudinally displaceable carriage and a pair of independently pivotal cylindrical brushes mounted on the carriage with the axes thereof in spaced, staggered, parallel relationship and inclined from the vertical at an angle of 45 DEG to present a maximum swept washing area for an angled brush at minimum effective longitudinal length.
