TITANIUM DIOXIDE PIGMENTS, METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF ANDRESIN COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE SAME

A titanium dioxide pigment which comprises titanium dioxide particles and, formed on the surface thereof, a coating layer comprising an aluminum phosphate compound and a coating layer comprising a hydrolyzate of an organi c silane compound and in which the difference between the Karl Fischer water content at 100~C and that at 300~C is 1,500 ppm or smaller. It is excellent in light resistance, hydrophobicity, and dispersibility. It is highly advantageous when used as a colorant for plastics which is required to have an especially high degree of light resistance (discoloration resistance), racin g resistance, and dispersibility.
