<p>The present invention provides a method and apparatus for collecting urine from a female quadruped (30), the apparatus comprising a urine collector (10) including: (a) a urine receptacle (12) having a urine inlet (14) for receiving urine (b) a support member (26) for supporting the receptacle (12), the support member (26) beatable to bridge the rump (28) of the quadruped (30) adjacent to and below the vulva (36) thereof and generally conforming to the shape of the rump (28) to thereby resist lateral displacement wherein the receptacle (12) is supported by the support member (26) so that the urine inlet (14) is proximate to and substantially surrounds the periphery of the urethra (34).</p> |
