The invention relates to the allocation of electronic components, which are maintained in an array, to feed lines (2) in a pick and place machine (1). According to the invention, correct allocation of the array of components is controlled in a feed control unit (4) by comparing stored component-related data on the identification carriers which are respectively allocated to said arrays with stored assembly-related data on a portable equipment control carrier (8). This enables said allocation to be controlled in a reliable and secure manner. |
