The invention relates to an assembly (1) of a flexible waste receptacle (3) provided with an open end (2) and a peripheral support member (4) of an at least partly form-retaining material for providing a constant access passage (5) at the open end of the flexible receptacle, which peripheral support member follows a closed regular periphery and is provided with a standing end flange (6) to permanently house the open end of the flexible receptacle and to close-fittingly receive a cover (D). The invention also relates to a peripheral support member as such, to a combined device provided with at least one receiving element for the peripheral support member, and to a method for fixedly attaching a flexible receptacle to a peripheral support member and for collection of waste.
