The invention relates to a device (20) for tempering orally administered, liquid or pasty media (M) such as foodstuffs or medicaments. According to the invention, the device (20) comprises; a receiver for the medium or for a receptacle (1) that holds the medium (M); a first transfer unit (3) for transferring the heat or thermal energy to the receptacle (1) and/or to the medium; a second transfer unit (2) for transferring cold or cold energy to the receptacle (1), and/or to the medium, and; a control device (6, 8, 9) for controlling the first and the second transfer unit (2, 3). The inventive device (20) considerably simplifies and expedites the preparation of nourishment for babies such as milk or baby food.
