<p>By a simple operation, a television program desired to watch is readily selected. Program choices (31, 32, 33, 34) are displayed in different shape and color on the screen of a television receiver. Items (35, 36, 37, 38) of stored data one-to-one corresponding to the program choices are displayed similarly on the screen. The stored data classified by the item (heading classified by the content) is stored in a hard-disk memory built in the television receiver. Program choice buttons having the same shapes and colors as those of the program choices (31 to 34) are provided on a remote controller used for program selection. The viewer selects a program that the viewer wants to watch while seeing the stored data items (35 to 38) displayed on the screen and recognizing the shapes and colors of the corresponding program choices (31 to 34).</p> |
