<p>A system and method for selectively accessing a storage device are provided. The system includes a processor (12) and at least two storage devices (14, 16) in communication with the processor (12). A selector (18) in communication with the at least two storage devices (14, 16) and the processor (12) includes at least two positions used to select which of the at least two storage devices (14, 16) is to be accessed. A power source (28) is operable to provide power to the processor (12) and selector (18), wherein the selector (18) is inoperable while receiving power from the power source (28) so as to protect the system from malfunctioning.</p> |
