PURPOSE: A method for retransmitting packets according to response signals(affirmative response signals or negative response signals) from a receiver for radio packets transmitted from a transmitter, is provided to decide whether the radio packets are retransmitted by using the plurality of response signals, and to improve transmission efficiency by avoiding the whole re-transmission of the packets, caused by transmission errors of the response signals. CONSTITUTION: A method for retransmitting radio packets according to response signals in a radio communication system comprises the steps of: deciding whether reception errors is generated, by receiving radio packets by radio stations; transmitting affirmative response signals for several times in different time to a first radio station, when it is normal reception; transmitting negative response signals for several times in different time to the first radio station, when the reception errors are generated; deciding whether the affirmative response signals and the negative response signals are received from a second radio station within predetermined time by the first radio station; completing a transmission operation of the corresponding radio packets, when one of the affirmative response signals is received within the predetermined time; and retransmitting the corresponding radio packets, when one of the negative response signals is received or when no signal is received.
