<p>A communication system connected to the Internet through a communication network in which security is ensured, such as a cellular phone network and capable of lightening the load on a terminal for electronic commerce and banking service, wherein a ciphered communication request making unit (101) of a client device (100) sends a request of security of the communication path to a gateway server (200), a ciphered communication control unit (203) of the gateway server (200) sets up ciphered communication with a content server (300) in response to the request, the content server ciphers data to be transmitted to the client device and sends the cipphered data to the gateway server, the ciphered communication control unit of the gateway server deciphers the data and sends it to the client device. The client device requires no ciphering system, thereby lightening its load.</p> |
