PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve optical output efficiency on a transmission side. SOLUTION: An optical transmission/reception module for infrared-ray communication comprises a light-emitting element 1, light-reception element 2, drive IC3, and lead frame 4. The light-emitting element 1, a light-reception element 2, drive IC3, and lead frame 4 are resin sealed in a double mold structure using a transparent mold resin 5 and visible-light cut resin 6. A transparent mold resin 5 is a mold resin which allows a light to pass over a wide wavelength region, while the visible-light cut mold resin 6 is a mold resin which contains a dye which removes light in visible region, while allowing the light in infrared region to pass. |
