PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a reflection electrode hard to crack, to prevent reduction of an effective area of the reflection electrode and to enhance reflection efficiency of a liquid crystal panel as a whole by forming the reflection electrode almost equal to or less than an external size of an interlayer insulating film and a base electrode inside thereof. SOLUTION: On Cr layers 5a, 5b an interlayer insulating film made of TaOx is formed, and an Al(aluminum) electrode 7 as a reflection electrode is formed on the interlayer insulating film. The interlayer insulating film is formed as frame shape along peripheries of the Cr layer 5b in a pixel region with almost a rectangular shape and on its inside opening part the Al electrode 7 is brought into contact with the Cr layer 5b as a base electrode through a comparatively wide area. The Al electrode 7 with its size a little smaller than pixel electrodes consisting of the Cr layer 5b thereunder is formed. Namely, the periphery of the Al electrode 7 is formed so as not to overhang the edge part of the Cr layer 5b. Consequently the periphery of the Al electrode 7 is not cracked. |
