PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mattress equipped with appropriately balanced lessened local pressure, adaptability to a natural posture, stability for supporting the body and good air permeability. SOLUTION: A semi-fluid mattress using an assembly 30 of granular materials for supporting a user is provided with a reversible carrying means and a fluidizing means in order to locally control the granular materials 31a and 31b. The reversible carrying means is used to obtain adaptability to a natural posture by controlling distribution of piling height of the granular materials and carries the granular materials between the transverse central part and the transverse peripheral part. The fluidizing means is used for lessening local pressure by controlling local fluidity of the granular materials. In a pref. embodiment of practice, a rotating wing device wherein the fludizing means and the carrying means are cooperated and it can be applied to both means by switching operating modes is provided. Each rotating wing device is positioned at a plurality of places in a longitudinal range 50 of the mattress and is respectively provided with a shaft member 42 which can rotate on the rotating shaft 43 forming approximately at least 60 deg. and at most 120 deg. to the longitudinal shaft of the mattress and a wing member connected with the shaft member. |
