PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely execute the separation between an as-cast casting and a green sand mold and the disintegration of the green sand mold. SOLUTION: The flaskless green sand mold already poured with molten metal is air-tightly surrounded. The inner part of a structural body air-tightly surrounding the green sand mold, is quickly sucked and reduced to less than -200 mm Hg pressure within 0.5 sec, and the pressure in the structural body is fina1ly reduced to -300 mm Hg pressure. In this way, the b.p. of moisture is lowered in the whole green sand body containing the moisture in a moisture condensed layer formed in the surroundings of the as-cast casting in the green sand mold, to boil this moisture, and the green sand mold is disintegrated and separated from the as-cast casting. Thereafter after releasing the air-tightly surrounded state, the as-cast casting is taken out.
