PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an optical fiber type eardrum thermometer easy to use and applicable to a wide range by making the optical fiber part easily bendable. SOLUTION: Most of an optical fiber part of this thermometer is made of a silver halide optical fiber 42, and a chalcogenide optical fiber 41 is bonded to the top of the silver halide optical fiber 42 with an adhesive 43 for matching the refractive indices. At least the part of the silver halide optical fiber 42 is covered with a protective tube 44, which is UV non-transmissible and has a certain mechanical strength, to prevent the silver halide optical fiber 42 from deteriorating with ultraviolet rays or increasing transmission losses by bending too much.
