PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a synthetic catalyst oligonucleotide structure which can cleave the target sequence of a nucleic acid and is useful as a diagnostic reagent or the like by forming a specific chemical structure. SOLUTION: This synthetic catalyst oligonucleotide structure contain a nucleotide expressed by the formula [B is a nucloside base such as adenin-9-yl(A) or cytosin-1-yl(C); V is O or CH2; X and W are each O, S, NH2, a 1 to 10C, preferably 1 to 4C alkyl or alkoxy; R is H, a 1 to 10C alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, or the like]. Therein, R in the formula is the group except H in at least one nucleotide, and there is a nucleotide in which R in H in the catalytic active center. The catalytic active center of the oligonucleotide structure exhibits a hammer head or hair pin structure. The oligonucleotide structure contains a region for sharing a hybridization with the target sequence of nucleic acid. The synthetic catalyst nucleotide structure is preferably used for cleaving the target sequence of a nucleic acid such as ribonucleic acid. |
