<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent silencing effect without exerting an adverse influence on performance, such as narrowing of a sweet area, by forming a through-hole for communicating the hollow part of the crown part of a golf club head having specific volume and having the hollow part with the outdoor air and fitting a silencing member into this through-hole. SOLUTION: The through-hole 3 for communicating the hollow part 5 of the crown part 2 of the large-sized golf club head 1 having the hollow part 5 and volume of >=300 ml with the outdoor air is formed at the crown part. The silencing member 4 is fitted and fixed into this through-hole 3. As a result, metallic sounds at the time of impact are decreased without exerting the adverse influence on the performance, such as narrowing of the sweet area. The silencing member 4 is formed by using a polyester elastomer or the like so as to have a silencing body part 41 which is brought into tight contact with the hole wall 31 of the through-hole 3, a design display part 42 which is exposed on the front surface side of the crown part 2 and an annular detaining part 43 which is disposed at the other end of the silencing body part 41.</p> |
