<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the operation reliability by allowing application of an additional step stroke to increase the braking force, and securing a continuity of the braking force during the increased braking force. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a pedal arm 2 provided with pawl teeth 12, a latch pawl member 4 which is provided with a latch pawl 15 locked with the pawl teeth 12, and maintains/releases a stepped-in position of the pedal arm 2, and an attitude changing member 5 allowing the latch pawl member 4 to hold the position of the pedal arm 2 when the pedal arm 2 is stepped in further from the maintained position. This constitution realizes a braking force setting function operated by a foot-step operation, a braking force releasing function operated by the foot-step operation, and a braking force increasing function operated by the foot step operation, thereby increasing the operability and the reliability during operation of the parking brake device.</p> |
