PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precleaner capable of guiding foreign matter separated by a swirling stream in good performance to a foreign matter discharge hole located downstream. SOLUTION: A precleaner has a body 1 having a circumferential wall 1a, which is tapered so as to increase the diameter gradually from one end where revolving fins 4 and an intake air inflow port 3 exist to the other end where a foreign matter discharge hole 8 and intake air outflow port 5 exist, and thereby the foreign matter A pressed to the inside circumferential surface of the precleaner body 1 can easily be guided by the inclination 2a of the tapered part 2 to downstream where the discharge hole 8 is provided.
