PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shoe sole by which toes are made easier to move and by which, a road surface or the like becomes easier to hold. SOLUTION: An engaging section 10, which enters an indent Fc in the vicinity of the roots of toes F, and with which a foot sole is engaged in the longitudinal direction, is formed on the upper surface side of a cushioning sole 1 along the indent Fc of the toes F. Then, a bend-assisting section 12, which makes the cushioning sole 1 easier to bend at the engaging section 10 or its vicinity, accompanying the bending of the toes F at the interphalangeal joints J3, is provided on the rear side of the engaging section 10. Then, a toe accepting section 13, which allows the toes F to sink lower than other sections, is formed in front of the engaging section 10 on the upper surface of the cushioning sole 1.
