The smart card contains a function that reviews past transactions and determines those after the last charitable donation has been made. With the aid of a connection to a server (TEPT,CAR) connected to a card reader terminal (12,14) the total is calculated and an order issued to transfer an amount to a third party. The smart card memory is then updated.
